The Journal 73: Leeds University Union Climbing Club Journal

1973
Edited by Bernard Newman

This edition of The Journal was the first of Bernard Newman’s contributions as editor. It is a fine edition, featuring (in LUUMC tradition) a front cover poking fun at the mainstream climbing media - in this case Chris Bonnington’s ‘I chose to climb’. Within the publication, articles by the likes of Dennis Gray and John Porter range from climbing in the Alps to the Americas, pleasingly interspersed with the odd bit of poetry.

A physical copy is currently held by members of the club, with aims to donate it to the Leeds University Library in the future.
