The Journal of the University of Leeds Climbing Club

Summer 1965
Edited by C.J. Radcliffe

This edition of The Journal  hasn't seen the light of day in quite some time. Recently digitised from the British Library in 2026, this edition captures the University of Leeds Climbing Club’s 1965 season. Vivid accounts of major routes like the North Face of Piz Badile and Phillip‑Flamm on the N.W. face of the Civetta, sit alongside reflections on classics such as Scafell’s Central Buttress, bold Alpine ascents, Yorkshire cragging, and distinctive club humour.

A copy is available at the British Library.

Total pages: 44

Note: We would like to apologise for the quality of digitisation - we were unfortunately at the mercy of the equipment available to us at the British Library, but we will attempt to make a higher quality version available in the future if possible.
