This edition of The Journal is the earliest copy we currently hold in our archives. Although it is Vol. 2, No. 2 – and therefore not the very first issue, it provides the earliest surviving record of our club’s activities, dating the club back to at least 1956. At the time, the club was known as the Leeds University Climbing Club (LUCC).
